This morning as normal I tuned into our local TV station to check out the weather and news before beginning the day. Much to my surprise they were talking about doors.

It is time to start thinking about Spring projects, and they were on location at a local store checking out how to replace our standard doors, and the different types and models available. The anchor was pointing out how easy it was to look at them as they were mounted so you could just pull them out, much like we do our clothes shopping.

Then the sales person pointed out something I had never heard before!  He instructed her to look at the standard design in the door, as they have not changed in the last century.  He shared the panels at the bottom symbolize the open pages of The Bible, and when you look closely at the top there is the formation of the cross.

I was amazed that on this Thankful Thursday I could wander around my home and look at my doors in a different light. I am thankful and blessed for my life, my family, my friends, and my business and our clients; and now all I have to do is look at the doors in my office and home, and have a daily reminder to keep focused on where my blessings come from.

Is it time to look at your doors?

Have a great thankful week!

What a wonderful way to start out the day with brand new knowledge, perspeactive and insight. I’ll never be able to look at a door the same way again. Even when doors are closed in our face…the cross in the middle still remains. That alone stands as a visual reminder that there’s still something good to see.
